Buyer III

Description:

Centurion Consulting is seeking a Buyer III within the Supply Chain Management organization. The Buyer will be responsible for procurement of a diverse portfolio of programs and play a key role in sourcing an array of materials for the organization, particularly as part of aircraft development. Core functions include procurement of build-to-print parts and commercial off-the-shelf components. Additional duties include developing RFPs, statements of work, evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria, as well as fostering effective relationships with suppliers, Engineering, and Program Management within both development and production programs, primarily in the aerospace industry.

Requirements:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Buyer.
- Overall, five (5) years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Desired:
- Experience purchasing Build-to-Print parts from machine shops/fabricators.
- Knowledge of compliance acquisition procedures and FAR/DFAR requirements.
- Purchasing experience that includes RFP development, statements of work, and source selection.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with aerospace industry development and production programs.
- International subcontract experience with working knowledge of import/export compliance and ITAR regulations.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in office environment.
- Fine manipulation, such as typing.
- Ability to work at a desk 8 hours daily.
- Lifting of normal office equipment (laptops, files).
