Job Description

The Executive Director of Marketing will be responsible for creating and implementing university marketing and enrollment strategies for Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and executes annual and long-range multifaceted marketing and enrollment strategies with recruitment and campus community.

  • Creates, implements, and assesses integrated content and digital strategies, projects, and initiatives.

  • Prepares budgets, monitors expenditures, and serves as marketing account manager.

  • Maintains a breadth of knowledge about current trends, emerging issues and opportunities in higher education and industry that inform future comprehensive content and marketing strategies while being a data-savvy practitioner across diverse platforms.

  • Manages website content produced by Webmaster Multimedia Production Specialist.

  • Works directly with the enrollment, admissions, and financial aid teams to increase enrollment.

  • Defines and monitors content of all advertising and promotional messages ensuring that the goals of A&M-Texarkana are communicated consistently through brand management.

  • Works directly with Texas A&M University System Trademark and Licensing Department to ensure brand compliance.

  • Regularly conducts market research to guide marketing activities and ensures that evaluation systems are in place to monitor marketing efforts and measure return on investment of marketing budget.

  • Provides marketing vision to assist with fundraising efforts.

  • Performs other related duties necessary to recruit students, cultivate relationships through campus events, and market the university.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five (5) years of related experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, or related field.

  • Proven background in delivering high-impact, innovative marketing initiatives.

  • Excellent skills in oral and written communications.

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in marketing, public relations, or related field.

  • Experience with design and layout using graphics software programs in a work-related environment.

  • Knowledge of print and digital media.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally work beyond normal office hours.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
