Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Full-time EXPERIENCED Lawn Care Spray technician in Lawn & Ornamental and Weed licensed with the State of Texas. Applicant must possess either a current technician's license with the Texas Dept. of Agriculture or Structural Pest Control Board. 

Applicant must have at least 1-3 years of experience and knowledge in lawn fertilization, insect, disease and weed control. 

Our licensed lawn technician positions are trained to identify properly and solve problems in the lawn and landscape. Our technicians are trained to prepare properly and apply fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides according the label instructions. Technicians will have direct contact with customers and must be able to communicate and interact efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and solve problems in turf and landscapes
  
• Understand and follow chemical label instructions
  
• Follow safety procedures
  
• Evaluate growing conditions in lawns and landscape
  
• Provide and discuss treatment options for existing and new customers
  
• Core aeration on lawns
• Basic knowledge of some mechanical skills for vehicles and equipment
  
• Keep work space clean and orderly
  
• Work well with other team members
  
• Must be detailed oriented with the ability to work alone to complete daily routes in a timely schedule.
• Ability to drive a company truck with trailer as you complete your daily routes.

Requirements

Considerations:

The work our team members perform if physically demanding. They work outside in weather that ranges from extremely hot to cold, while wearing required uniforms that consist of long sleeve shirts, pants, gloves and rubber boots for their safety.

The work requires considerable strength, fitness and dexterity. Team members must withstand frequent periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout their daily schedules, often while navigating uneven surfaces. The team will push and pull equipment and spray hoses throughout the day, including using a core aeration machine.

In order to perform their duties, team members must be able to meet the physical demands as a matter of routine, while also contending with our service areas' humid, subtropical climate.

In order to meet company, insurance and state regulatory requirements, successful applicants with at minimum:

• Meet all federal requirements for eligibility to work permanently in the United States
  
• Possess a valid, unrestricted Texas drivers license
• Clean driving record with no moving violations, or accidents in the previous five years
  
• Applicant must be at least 23 years of age due to commercial insurance restrictions
  
• Pass a criminal background check with no record of felony or misdemeanor convictions
  
• Pass a drug test
  
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  
• Ability to withstand frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting
  
• Ability to drive safely with a truck/trailer
  
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
  
• Reside within a 30 minute drive of our Conroe warehouse
  
• Ability to work some Saturdays
