Job Summary

Our busy multi-season rustic lodge and lake resort, featuring rental cabins, a campground, and marina is seeking multiple hard-working, self-motivated people to join our guest services team.

The ideal candidates for this position are enthusiastic and driven to “exceed customer expectations” while ensuring our guests have an amazing experience with us. Those with previous industry experience at a company or organization that serves residential clients and/or resort guests, and a “whatever it takes” attitude are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who wants steady employment in the resort industry.

The guest services team is responsible for our guest experience from start to finish.

Must be willing to work in a remote lake area approximately 30 minutes from Bend, OR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist guests during check-in and check-out. On arrival ensure they feel immediately ‘at home’ and welcome. On departure, leave them with the desire to come again. 
  • Responding to guest needs and complaints in a professional manner
  • Answer the phone and respond to current and prospective guests’ needs.
  • Taking reservations for individuals, families and groups in person, by email, or by phone
  • Handle retail sales (merchandise, sundries, beverages etc.)
  • Refer guests to resort amenities, hiking trails, and other attractions.
  • Assist with rentals
  • Communicate guests’ requests and complaints to the appropriate department or personnel.
  • Act as liaison between departments to successfully resolve problems, manage customer expectations, or execute daily requests or special events, ie Housekeeping, Ops, Snowcat transport, Event team, etc.

Additional Duties

  • Due to the dynamic nature of the resort, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Follow all company, resort, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Represent the company's management team by supporting and enforcing policies while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with guests, colleagues, and staff.
  • Promote and follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.
  • Address and resolve challenges using available resources.
  • Support the overall efficiency of the team by collaborating and contributing to the resort’s goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED. 
  • At least 2 years of front desk experience at a resort, hotel, or similar. Exceptions made for the right candidate. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which might include nights and weekends. 
  • Strong people skills and the ability work as an individual or as a team member
  • Ability to remain calm and friendly when confronted with upset guests.
  • Ability to adapt to changing working conditions.
  • Must develop good working knowledge of the entire resort, its facilities and activities.
