Solarity Credit Union is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant at our North 5th branch in Yakima! As a Solarity Senior Accountant, you will assist in developing and implementing effective departmental and accounting strategies, policies, and procedures. Effectively prepare, maintain, and report internal and external financial records and analyses. Perform and oversee investor accounting function and provide related support to all departments. Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with Credit Union employees, including management.

The top candidate will... - Have a bachelor's degree in accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience to include broad knowledge of accounting principles such as fixed assets, general ledger management, prepaids and accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Related progressive accounting experience in a financial institution preferred
- Have strong GAAP knowledge
- Have knowledge of governmental regulations and reporting requirements
- Have knowledge of credit union and industry accounting practices and procedures
A Day in the life of a Senior Accountant.... Each day will be a different adventure in this role. A snapshot of the day could look like:
- Participate in collaborative and innovative daily huddle
- Work to close books within established timeframes
- Maintain clean CPA Audits and Regulatory Exams
- Research and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Write and maintain accounting procedures and processes to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Design, implement and maintain general ledger chart of accounts
- Provide extraordinary support to staff
- Prepare accurate and timely reports

- Hourly pay range $29.01 - $45.32
